Leading a company carries responsibility beyond business growth - it requires consideration of environmental and social impact. Idego recognizes that expansion brings obligations to support charitable causes. The organization maintains ongoing partnerships with select charities while remaining open to spontaneous community initiatives. This combination of planned and responsive charitable work constitutes corporate social responsibility, encompassing all actions addressing societal and environmental concerns.

What CSR activities have you implemented over the last year?

The pandemic prompted intensified charitable engagement. Idego participated in a hackathon creating an application connecting donors with institutions needing assistance. The #GaszynChallenge allowed employee participation through physical exercise to fundraise for medical treatment. Halloween festivities included online gaming where winners designated beneficiary charities, ensuring alignment with personal values. Supported organizations included Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, Ciapkowo animal sanctuary, Children's Foundation "Reach Out in Time," All is Possible Foundation, Pomeranian Hospice, and Pediatric Hospice Lupkowa.

Where did the idea to adopt a Ball python come from?

Seeking regular organizational support for a cause, Idego selected an unconventional approach. Rather than supporting typical dog shelters, the company adopted a ball python named Bursztynek from an exotarium in Lublin. The choice reflected programming language familiarity among developers and represented a unique charitable partnership.

Has anything changed in CSR activities during the pandemic?

Traditional Friday team lunches expanded to three weekly meal orders from local Tri-City restaurants. This initiative simultaneously supported struggling food service businesses while providing quality meals for employees, demonstrating community economic support during economic hardship.

What is the involvement of employees in charity activities?

Employees enthusiastically participate in charitable initiatives. They contributed weekend effort to the hackathon, selected beneficiary organizations, and personally purchased gifts for hospice children. Staff regularly inquired about Bursztynek's wellbeing and coordinated present selections for the adopted python.

Are there any specific CSR activities planned for the coming year?

Idego will continue supporting the exotarium and local restaurants while remaining responsive to emerging community needs. The organization favors combining consistent partnerships with contextual charitable action, believing this balanced approach maximizes positive impact.
